Beth Tzedec Synagogue Wedding | Erin & Lawrie
It’s such an honour when friends ask you to photograph their wedding. I’ve known Erin for years, as she’s my good friend’s sister, so it was one of those really special days to capture this milestone in her life. Something I really admire about Erin and Lawrie is that they are so laid back. They chose to skip many of the traditional wedding things you usually see like a first dance, cake cutting, etc. Their wedding took place at Beth Tzedec Synagogue and it was such a relaxed day celebrating their love with all their friends and family.
We ended up taking the most adorable portraits in the gym at the start of the day, along with their closest friends. When it came time for the ceremony we headed to a gathering room lined with floor-to-ceiling windows and tons of natural light. The evening was filled with good food, live music, lots of dancing, and many lovely heartfelt speeches. A little shout-out to Naz Films, their videographer, who was also wonderful to work alongside. I popped outside with Erin and Lawrie after dinner for some sweet portraits in the garden just after sunset. When we returned it was time for the second round of speeches and then more dancing. A really cute touch was the candy table, filled with all the childhood goodies you can remember. I loved seeing guests carry their little bags of candy around during the reception. Of course, the night ended with a fun dance party and some extra yummy snacks. It was such a joy to capture their special day, so here’s a little peek for you.
