Richmond Hill Country Club Wedding | Rachel & Sam
Rachel and Sam are a super sweet and funny couple, and will completely melt your heart from the moment you meet them. Last summer they had a beautiful Richmond Hill Country Club wedding filled with all their friends and family. It ended up being a rather nostalgic day for me too, as it just so happens I went to summer camp there as a little kid oddly enough. I’m also lucky to have gotten to know their friend group well, having photographed a bunch of their weddings. As a photographer, it’s really special to develop these long-term relationships with not only clients but their extended friends and family too!
In 2021 I had the pleasure of shooting Rachel and Sam’s engagement session in the west end of Toronto. During our neighborhood stroll, I got to meet their two adorable dachshunds, that also made an “appearance” during the hora at their wedding. These two are so much fun, I knew their wedding day would be just as playful as their engagement session. When the day finally arrived they had beautiful mid-June weather and everyone was in good spirits. Rachel got ready at her parents and met Sam in a cozy wooded valley for their first look. Which, of course, was pretty adorable. Afterward, they were greeted at the venue with so much love (and some friendly tickles) from their family and wedding party. You can really tell just how much everyone loves these two.
The ceremony took place at Richmon Hill Country Club in an elegant hall with cathedral ceilings and rose petals dusting the floors. The chuppah was beautifully adorned with blush florals by Bloom Bar Studio. After the ceremony, the reception was in full swing with a live band and everyone hit the dancefloor – even the little ones! We stepped out at sunset for some dancing, portraits, and one on one time for Rachel and Sam. They ended the night with karaoke and an epic dance party.
