Artscape Gibraltar Point Wedding | Nicole & John
Nicole and John’s tropical wedding at Artscape Gibraltar Point on Toronto Island was another highlight of last summer. Like many weddings over the past couple of years, they joined the growing group of couples who had to reschedule their wedding twice because of Covid. But despite all the hurdles, their third time was a charm. When the day finally came for these two to be married they got to celebrate with friends and family the way they had always hoped to. It was a gorgeous sunny day, at a lovely location nestled in nature. In fact, the whole wedding including dinner and dancing was held entirely outdoors.
It was such a fun adventure to start the day by sharing a boat ride over to the island with the bridal party. We had some spectacular views of the city, along with a little time to relax before the festivities began. When we arrived, guests were mingling with drinks. We also caught our first glimpse of the stunning tropical arrangements created by Thyme Studio. During the ceremony, Nicole and John chose to walk down the aisle together and shared beautiful vows between heartfelt laughter and happy tears. After celebratory cocktails, lawn games and time to connect with friends and family, everyone made their way to the dining area. The all-white tables were accented with single-stem tropical florals that felt simultaneously understated, yet lush. Set beneath a canopy of trees and vintage string lights we felt miles away from the city. The dinner was spectacular with great food catered by Gusto and fun music by Symmetry Studios. It was an intimate atmosphere, made even better by all the wonderful speeches.
When the sun began to set, Nicole, John, and I, made our way through a forest path, down to the secluded beach for some portraits and one on one time. I’m just going to say it now, if you have access to a beach during your wedding, definitely take advantage of some peaceful time together by the water. You won’t regret it! We ended the night with an epic dance party under the stars, complete with an adorable dance Nicole shared with her grandma. Nicole and John’s Artscape Gibraltar Point Wedding was an amazing day, and I was so grateful to be a part of it.
